IITs

NITs

Mock allotment को final result नहीं समझना चाहिए।

Slide Option

Slide का मतलब है candidate same institute में higher preference branch चाहता है।

Candidate को NIT Patna Civil मिला है और उसी institute में ऊपर Mechanical या Electrical choice भरी हुई है। Candidate Slide choose कर सकता है, subject to rules and availability.

Freeze, Float, Slide में Common Mistake

सबसे बड़ी mistake यह है कि student option समझे बिना click कर देता है।

Withdrawal और Exit Option

JoSAA में withdrawal और exit rules official Business Rules और schedule पर depend करते हैं।

JoSAA Choice Filling के Practical Examples

Example 1: Good Rank लेकिन छोटी Choice List

एक student की rank ऐसी है कि उसे अच्छे NITs में core branches मिल सकती हैं। लेकिन उसने सिर्फ top IIT और top NIT CSE choices भरीं।

Risk: No allotment या weak allotment.

Better approach:

Student को CSE के साथ ECE, Electrical, Mechanical, Mathematics and Computing, IT, Data Science, AI related branches और selected GFTIs को भी practical order में include करना चाहिए।

Example 2: College Brand के चक्कर में Wrong Branch

Student ने सिर्फ college name देखकर branch भर दी, जबकि उसकी actual interest coding, electronics या applied mathematics में थी।

Risk: Four-year dissatisfaction.

Better approach:

College reputation, branch interest, curriculum, placement trend, higher studies, location और fees सब देखकर decision लें।

Example 3: Previous Year Cutoff को Guarantee मानना

Student ने सोचा कि last year cutoff 28000 गया था, तो इस साल भी 28000 तक seat मिल जाएगी।

Risk: Wrong expectation.

Better approach:

Previous year opening-closing rank को reference मानें, guarantee नहीं। हर साल seat matrix, candidate preference, rank distribution और branch demand बदल सकती है।

Parents के लिए Important Guidance

JoSAA counselling में parents की role बहुत important है।

Parents को सिर्फ fee payment तक limited नहीं रहना चाहिए। उन्हें student के साथ बैठकर realistic decision लेना चाहिए।
