Course offered by University Law College:

Undergraduate courses:-

B.A.LL.B. :- The University Law College, offers 5 years BA-LLB (Hons.). As per the Bar Council India under Legal Education Rules 2008. The Program has 10 semesters, who so ever complete it will be eligible and awarded with the B.A. LL.B (Hons.) Degree. The number of seats is limited up to 60 students

 

Postgraduate Courses:-

University Law College, offers 2 years LLM programme having 4 semesters in 5 different branches i.e. Constitution and Legal order, Corporate and commercial law.

Labour and employment law, Human Rights and Environmental Law.(under suspension)

Criminal Law. The nature of the course is  CBCS (Choice based Credit Scheme). The number of seats is limited to 10 as per general admission policy and 2 seats per branch under the category of enhanced fees.

 

Admission Criteria and Eligibility for University College of Law:

For Undergraduate Program (B.A. LL.B.):-

 An applicant seeking admission to the B.A., LL.B. (Honours) Degree Course shall have successfully completed Pre-University Course or Senior Secondary School Course (‘+2’)  or equivalent (such as 11 + 1, ‘A’ level in Senior School Leaving Certificate Course) from a recognized University in India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent, constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State Government securing in the aggregate, marks not less than 45% (in the case of SC/ST-40% and in the case of OBC-42% as notified by the Government of Karnataka) of the total marks.

 

For Post Graduate Program (LLM)

Candidates seeking admission to LL.M. Degree under semester scheme should have passed the LL.B. degree from any University recognised by the Bar Council having secured not less than 45% in the aggregate (5% relaxation for SC/ST, Category I and differently abled candidates in the aggregate of 3 years/5 years LL.B. Degree Examinations conducted by Bangalore University or any other University recognized by U.G.C leading to the award of LL.B Degree. Mode of selection of candidates is through Common Entrance Test (C.E.T.)conducted by the college.

 

Age Criteria:

For Undergraduate Programs: Maximum age for seeking admission to the B.A., LL.B. Honours Degree Course is 20

years of age (relaxation of two years in case of SC, ST, Other Backward Communities & Foreign Nationals) as on the last date for submission of application of the year of
