Important Rules for Specific Documents
Category Certificate (SC / ST / BC / OBC)
Category certificates must be of the current academic year. Certificates from a previous academic year may not be accepted. Get a fresh certificate issued before the counselling registration opens. Submitting an expired or outdated category certificate during physical verification can lead to loss of reservation benefit or seat cancellation.
Income Certificate (for TFW)
The income certificate must be for Financial Year 2025-26. It must certify that the annual family income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakh. Only candidates who declared TFW eligibility during registration need to submit this.
Punjab Domicile / Residence Certificate
Required for all candidates claiming the 85% Punjab state quota. The certificate must be issued by the competent authority under Punjab Government guidelines. If the certificate is found to be false at any stage, the admission is cancelled and fees paid are forfeited.
Candidates exempt from the domicile requirement but still eligible for Punjab quota include children of Punjab Government employees, children of All India Services officers on Punjab cadre, children of Central Government employees who served at least 2 years in connection with Punjab Government affairs, children of Punjab Government pensioners, and children of military or paramilitary personnel belonging to Punjab.
Defence / Ex-Servicemen Certificate
Must be issued by the Commanding Officer of relevant unit. Priority within the defence category is: killed in action first, followed by disabled in action, died in service, disabled in service, gallantry award winners, and finally serving and ex-servicemen.
Disability Certificate
Must be issued by the competent medical authority. The certificate should clearly state the nature and percentage of disability. Candidates must confirm which sub-category of disability they fall under (blind, deaf and dumb, or other handicapped) as each has a separate 1% reservation.
Migration Certificate
Required only if your qualifying examination was passed from a board or institution outside Punjab. This is needed for university enrollment after admission.
Gap Year Affidavit
If there is a gap of one or more years between your qualifying exam and the year of admission, a gap affidavit must be submitted. It must be notarized or duly attested.
Do You Need to Submit Originals at the College?
All original documents must be physically submitted to the finally allotted college at the time of reporting. The college:

- Retains the originals until university enrollment is complete
- Returns the documents after enrollment
