About HPCET

HPCET stands for Himachal Pradesh Combined Entrance Test conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University for admission in the courses like B.Tech, B.Pharm, MBA, M.Tech, MCA, etc. HPCET 2021 is conducted annually and is an offline exam. HPCET is expected to be conducted third week of may for which the application is to be released in the first week of March. The main subjects of HPCET is Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for which the candidates have to be prepared.

HPCET Counselling 2021 Process:

There are certain steps that are to be followed at the time of going through the counselling session which includes registering on the official website, uploading the necessary document, paying the counselling fee. Candidates who have completed their 10+2 in 2020 or 2021 are qualified for appearing in the counselling session.

Registration: 

First of all the candidates have to register themselves online at the official website of HPCET 2021 i.e. http:// himtu.ac.in. Candidates have to enter all the basic details like fathers’ name, mothers’ name, address, contact number, email address, etc.

 Choice Locking:

After paying the counselling fee the candidates have to lock their choices for the course and the college they wish to take admission in. It is advisable to choose the maximum number of choices in order to increase the probability of getting admission. Candidates will also get the option to add, delete and modify the choices locked by the candidates.

Seat Allotment:

The basis of seat allotment is purely on the candidates merit score which is again on the basis of rank, college preference, availability of seats, etc. The seat allotment result will be released online and the candidate has to enter the login credentials. Download the allotment letter and carry it to the allotted institute.

Payment of Fee:

The candidates who were allotted with a seat have to pay the fee specified by the respective college. Failing to which i.e. payment of fee the allotment of seat will be automatically cancelled.

HPCET Counselling Fee through JEE Main:

The candidates applying through both JEE Main 2021 as well as HPCET 2021 shall have to make a non refundable fee of:

Rs. 3100 for General Category

Rs. 2800 for SC/ST/BPL

Reporting to the allotted college:

After making the payment, the candidates will get a notification about the date and time of the allotted college.

Document Verification:

After the allotment of seats candidates have to report to the allotted college for document verification. It is advised to the candidates to carry their original and photocopy of the documents mentioned below:
