AKTU Spot Round Date 2026 – Special Round 1 & 2 Schedule, Registration & Eligibility

AKTU Spot Round 2026 officially called the Special Round in UPTAC 2026, has two rounds, i.e. Special Round 1 and Special Round 2.

They are the final round for UPTAC 2026 counselling process which is mainly held to allot the seats that are vacant after the normal rounds (Round 1 to Round 4) and physical reporting round.

Registrations for Special Round 1 Phase 2 were opened on July 18, 2026. The entire process will conclude on August 3, 2026 with Special Round 2 physical reporting on August 3, 2026 at https://uptac.samarth.edu.in.

Who Is Eligible for AKTU Spot Round 2026

Special Rounds are open to the following candidates:

  • Candidates who registered in Round 1 (25 May – 15 June 2026) but were not allotted any seat across all regular rounds
  • Candidates who received an allotment in regular rounds but formally withdrew within the withdrawal window (available in Rounds 2, 3, and 4)
  • OSGE candidates who studied outside UP and whose parents (both father and mother) are not domicile of UP. This group is exclusively eligible for Special Rounds and cannot participate in regular rounds at all
  • New registrants who could not register in the regular round window (for Special Round Phase 1: 4 May – 15 June 2026)

Who Cannot Register for Special Rounds: Candidates who were allotted a seat in any regular round and did not formally withdraw are not eligible to register for Special Rounds.

Exam Priority in Special Rounds: 1) JEE Main 2026, 2) CUET UG 2026, 3) Intermediate (10+2) marks, giving CUET-only and even Intermediate candidates access to B.Tech vacant seats.

Important: Special Round fee of ₹20,000 is non-refundable for any reason. Non-reporting after Special Round allotment results in seat cancellation with no refund.
