NEET Counselling is a seat allotment process for all the medical institutes (MBBS/BDS) in the country is done by Medical Counselling Committee/ Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. NEET Counselling can be done for all the quotas in the country i.e. 15% All India Quota, 85% State Quota, Management Quota, Institutional Quota. NEET Counselling by MCC is conducted for all the Central Universities, Deemed Universities, Medical Colleges under ESIC, Armed Forces Medical Colleges. The important notices can be posted at the official website i.e. www.mcc.nic.in and www.aaccc.gov.in. The merit list is prepared by the medical counselling committee and seat distribution is on the basis of the merit list.
The process of seat allotment on the basis of merit and the preference of the colleges chosen by the candidates in MBBS/BDS course are termed at NEET Counselling. The body that is responsible for conducting the counselling is known as Counselling Authority. The counselling is done on Online and Offline basis, under online counselling process the whole system is operated by the computer program where as for Offline process the candidates have to be present for the seat allotment process.
For taking MBBS/BDS admissions there are three counselling bodies working on their respective set of principles for conducting counselling. Aspirants seeking admissions in MBBS/BDS courses can register themselves on all the three counselling authorities. In all the three below mentioned counselling authorities NEET Score is the only way to get admission.
The Medical Counselling Committee comes under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare; Government of India is responsible for granting admission in MBBS/BDS/PG courses. MCC is a centralised counselling committee, the whole counselling process is online from the beginning of Registration process till the seat allotment. MCC allows admission on all India Basis taking aspirants from across India irrespective of the states they belong to.
All India Quota, AIIMS, JIPMER, Deemed University Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, DU & IP Internal Quota
Central Universities (AMU, BHU, University of Delhi), ESIC Quota
MCC conducts counselling for All India Quota Seats. In India except AIIMS and AFMC all the government medical colleges gives 15% All India Quota Reservation. In this reservation only Jammu & Kashmir is an exceptional state. This means that under this 15% seats any candidate from any state can take admission.
There are total 15 AIIMS having 1150 seats. Till 2019 there is an examination and counselling conducted by the AIIMS authority for granting admission in their college, but after NMC bill AIIMS started accepting NEET Score for providing admission and the counselling is conducted by MCC.
In JIPMER, Puducherry there are total 249 medical seats. There are two campus namely Puducherry and Karaikal. Till 2019 there is an examination and counselling conducted by the JIPMER authority for granting admission in their college, but after NMC bill, JIPMER started accepting NEET Score for providing admission and the counselling is conducted by MCC. JIPMER ranks in top 5 Medical Institutes of the country.
AFMC is located in Pune, Maharashtra. It is affiliated to Maharashtra Institute of Health Sciences. It ranks in the top 5 Medical Institute of the country.
There is 85% state quota for the candidates who are permanent resident of Delhi or have done their 10th and 12th grade schooling from Delhi/NCR. The counselling of these candidates is conducted by MCC.
In India there are three Central Universities for MBBS and One central University i.e. Jamia Millia Islamia for BDS course. Counselling for all the seats in these Cnetal Universities is conducted by MCC.
Candidates whose parents are working in the Government or Private Sector company/industry/institute where there is the minimum Strength of employees is 10 or more than 10 are insured by the Company and are known as Insured Person or IP.
MCC also conducts counselling for Deemed Universities. These are Private University which have own Medical Colleges. There is no Category Quota in these colleges.
State Counselling Authority (State DME)
All the states in India have DME i.e. Directorate of Medical Education that conducts counselling state wise and gives admission to the 85% seats in government medical colleges and 100% seats in Private Medical College on the basis of NEET Score. The candidates belongs to different states can take admission in Private or Government Medical College to their respective states. However, there are 11 states that allow admission in the private medical to the candidates who are coming from other states, the term used for it is Open State.
Counselling for Central Pool Quota
The Central Government of India has departments where government employees are working has the reserved quota and the counselling is done by the concerned ministry. There are several states where there is no Government Medical College; there the Private Medical Colleges provide seat reservation under central Pool Quota to the government employees.
There are generally two rounds of counselling for the seats allotted by the medical colleges, but sometimes the seats would not get filled so the mop up round is called for.

Registration for NEET Counselling 2021
Step 1: Visit the official website of Medical Council Committee (MCC) i.e. www.mcc.nic.in and register them for NEET UG Counselling. The registration contains general details and a valid mobile number as the OTP is send to that number in order to complete the registration process.
Step 2: The students then have to log in to the website by providing the credentials provided to them in the previous step i.e. a Roll number and Password.
Step 3: A new page pop up onto the screen where the student have to enter the details like Registration No., Roll No., Mother’s Name, Contact No., etc. After entering all the details asked click on the submit button.
Step 4: All the details provided by the students will take a form of NTA database and the registration process completed by clicking on the confirm registration. Students are advised to save the page and take a print out for future references.
Fee Payment for NEET Counselling 2021
After the completion of the registration the students can opt for refundable or non refundable counselling fee. The counselling fee can be paid via online mode i.e. Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking.

NEET 2021 Choice Locking/Filling-
Once the counselling fee is paid the applicant have an option to choose the college he wants to take admission in, the option will be categorically in the manner of their preference. Before selecting the college an applicant must have all the details about the college as the seat allotment is based on his choice selection.
NEET 2021 Allotment of Seat-
Students can log in to the official website and check the result of seat of seat allotment. Keeping in mind the government reservation policy the seats were allotted to the candidates as per their ranks and choices filled by them. A list of candidates who had registered for UG NEET 2021 Counselling is released by MCC. The list is associated with the schedule for offline verification of the documents and the payment of admission fee.
NEET Counselling 2021 Second Round:
Students who are not satisfied with the colleges provided to them on their NEET score or the merit list prepared by the MCC, can apply for the second round of counselling. Students need not to pay the counselling fee again and can use the old log in id and password for applying for the second round of counselling.
NEET Counselling 2021 Counselling Letter
Again the applicants need their log in id and password in order to download and take the print out of the counselling letter allotted to them by the college/institute. Candidates are now required to report to the centre allotted to them in the letter to reserve their seats. Students are also advised to take the hard copy of the counselling letter at the verification centres.

Andaman & Nicobar NEET Counselling:
There is only one Government Medical College at Andaman & Nicobar Island. The college is affiliated to Pondicherry University. There are 112 seats and has been divided under the different category and quota.
Andhra Pradesh NEET Counselling:
There are 12 government medical colleges having total intake capacity of 2360 in MBBS Course and 17 Private Medical Colleges having 2650 seats for MBBS Course. All these colleges are affiliated to Dr. N.T.R. University of health Sciences. Andhra Pradesh is an open state where residents of Andhra Pradesh only can take admission in Private and Government Medical College. Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijaywada is the competent authority responsible for conducting ANDHRA PRADESH MBBS counselling for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) for the admission in MBBS/BDS courses in medical/dental colleges of ANDHRA PRADESH.
Arunachal Pradesh NEET Counselling:
In Arunachal Pradesh there is only one Government Medical College and No Private Medical College. There are total 50 seats in the MBBS course at this college and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh. Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Itanagar is the competent authority responsible for conducting ARUNACHAL PRADESH MBBS counselling for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) for the admission in MBBS/BDS courses in medical/dental colleges of ARUNCHAL PRADESH.
There are total 7 Government Medical Colleges and No Private Medical College in Assam. All these Government Medical Colleges are affiliated to Srimanta Shankardeva University of Health Sciences. Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Government of Assam is the competent authority responsible for conducting ASSAM MBBS counselling for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) for the admission in MBBS/BDS courses in medical/dental colleges of ASSAM.
There are 9 Government Medical Colleges in Bihar having 1140 MBBS seats and 6 Private Medical Colleges having 700 seats in MBBS course. The State government has a direct functioning body named as Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB), Bihar is responsible for conducting NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) counselling for the admission in undergraduate, post graduate and sBIHARer speciality courses in Bihar.
There are 6 Government Medical Colleges having 770 seats in MBBS courses. Apart from this there are 3 Private Medical Colleges having 450 seats in MBBS Course. All these Private and Government Medical colleges were affiliated to Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University, Raipur. The State government has a direct functioning body named as DGMET i.e. Directorate of Medical Education, Raipur, CHHATTISGARH responsible for conducting NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) counselling
In Delhi there are 7 Government Medical Colleges having 1115 seats in MBBS course, one Army trust Medical College having 100 seat. Apart from this there is a Deemed University (Hamdard University). Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi under Directorate General of Health Services, Delhi is the competent authority responsible for conducting DELHI MBBS counselling for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) for the admission in MBBS/BDS courses in medical/dental colleges of DELHI.
In the state of Gujarat there are 6 Government Medical Colleges which are having 1500 seats in MBBS course. There are 8 Government Society Medical College having 1319 seats in MBBS course. There are 3 Municipal Medical Colleges having 650 seats in MBBS course and 11 Private Medical Colleges having 1700 as total seats in MBBS course. Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) is the competent authority responsible for conducting GUJARAT MBBS counselling for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) for the admission in MBBS/BDS courses in medical/dental colleges of GUJARAT.
Haryana NEET Counselling:
There are 5 Government Medical Colleges having 810 seats in MBBS course. There is one Maharaja Agrasen Medical College, Agroha is a medical college that comes under the state government of Haryana. There are 4 Private Medical Colleges having 600 seats in MBBS Course. The State government has a direct functioning body named as DMER i.e. Director of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh under Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, Haryana is responsible for conducting NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) counselling for the admission in undergraduate, post graduate and super speciality courses in Haryana.
Himachal Pradesh NEET Counselling:
There are 6 Government Medical Colleges in Himachal Pradesh and there are 720 seats in MBBS course. There are only one Private Medical College which is having 150 seats in MBBS course. HP University, Shimla is the competent authority responsible for conducting HP MBBS counselling for NEET.
Jammu & Kashmir NEET Counselling:
Jammu & Kashmir does not participate in All India Quota therefore all the seats in Jammu & Kashmir are reserved for the candidates who are living in the state. Here, candidates from other states cannot take admissions. There are 7 Government Medical Colleges comprises of total 885 seats in MBBS course. There is one Private Medical College which is having 100 seats in MBBS course. The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) is the competent authority responsible for conducting JAMMU & KASHMIR MBBS counselling for NEET.
In Jharkhand there are 6 Government Medical Colleges having 580 MBBS Seats. In these 3 medical colleges were started in 2019. The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB), Ranchi is the competent authority responsible for conducting JHARKHAND MBBS counselling for NEET
In Karnataka there are 17 Government Medical Colleges having 2600 seats in MBBS course, in this All India Quota seats are 384. There are 33 Private Medical Colleges having 4845 MBBS seats in total. The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), Bangalore is the competent authority responsible for conducting Karnataka MBBS counselling for NEET.
Kerala NEET Counselling:
Kerala is an open state provides a great platform for the students giving wings to their dreams of being a professional in the field of medical science and an open state means that means All India Candidates are eligible for taking admission. It has ten Govt. Medical Colleges having a total of 1555 seats from which 231 are reserved for AIQ. It also includes 19 Private Colleges having 2200 MBBS seats of which 333 seats are reserved under AIQ.
Maharashtra is a close state which means candidates living in Maharashtra are the only ones eligible for admission. It has 24 Govt. Medical Colleges having a total of 4230 seats from which 610 are reserved for AIQ Quota. It also has 17 Pvt. Medical Colleges having a total of 2120 seats. The Commissioner, State CET Cell, Mumbai is the competent authority responsible for conducting MAHARASHTRA MBBS counselling for NEET.
Punjab has total 3 Govt. Medical Colleges having 90 seats under AIQ and 510 Under state Quota which makes it a total of 600. It has 6 Pvt. Colleges having a total of 775 seats. Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot is the competent authority responsible for conducting PUNJAB MBBS counselling for NEET.
Rajasthan has 14 Govt. Medical Colleges having a total of 2600 seats. There are 8 private Medical Colleges having 1300 seats in total. Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling: Tamil Nadu is an open state So, the management seats in all private colleges are available for all the Indian candidates of any Indian state. Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Tamil Nadu is the competent authority responsible for conducting TAMIL NADU MBBS counselling for NEET.
West Bengal NEET Counselling: West Bengal has 18 Medical Colleges having 3000 seats in total. It also has 6 Pvt. Colleges having 700 Pvt. Seats in total.
West Bengal Medical Council Committee under Department of Health & Family Welfare (DHFW), Kolkata is the competent authority responsible for conducting WEST BENGAL MBBS counselling for NEET.
Uttarakhand has 3 Govt. Medical College having a total of 425 seats and 2 Pvt. Medical College having 300 Pvt. Seats in total. The State government has a direct functioning body named as H.N.B. Uttarakhand Medical Education University responsible for conducting NEET
Uttar Pradesh NEET Counselling:
Uttar Pradesh state has 22 Government medical colleges, in which 2728 seats are government and 2265 seats are of state quota. U.P. has 24 private colleges in which 3300 private seats are there. U.P. is an open state in which even private seats of the private colleges can give admissions to the candidates belonging to all states. The State government has a direct functioning body named as DGMET i.e. Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh responsible for conducting UP UG NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) counselling.
BDS Counselling
In India there are 3 types of counselling Authority for taking admission in MBBS/BDS course. Those who want to take admission in MBBS/BDS can do the registration in all these 3 counselling authorities. In all these three types of counselling NEET Score is accepted for MBBS/BDS admissions, but the registration could be done separately for all these counselling. These three types of counselling are:
MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)
This committee is comes under Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to grant admissions in MBBS/BDS and PG, the committee is Centralized Counselling Committee. In this Admission Process is completely online i.e. from Registration to Seat Allotment all the process is online. Students who had qualified NEET 2020 from across India irrespective of which state they belongs to can apply for this counselling. Below mentioned are the medical institution for which MCC conducts counselling for giving admission in MBBS/BDS course. All the medical institutions are Government except Deemed Universities.
State Counselling Authority (State DME):
All the states conduct the counselling process for MBBS/BDS by the concerned state DME. In the state 85% seats of Government and 100% seats of Private Medical Colleges admission were given on the basis of NEET Score. Candidates who are living in a state can take admission in the Medical College of that state. However, there are 13 states in the country where the Private Medical Colleges that accepts candidates out from their state for admission. These states are known as Open States. For 85% state quota counselling I have prepared a separate E-Book.
Counselling For Central Pool Quota:
There are several Government Departments in which the employees of wards were availed Central Pool Quota Seats reservation. The concerned ministry conduct the counselling process. There are several states where there is no Government Medical Colleges and the candidates of that state can apply to the Government Medical Colleges of other states under State Pool Quota and avail reservation. I have prepared separate Book for Central Pool Quota. So, now let us understand the whole MCC Counselling Process.
1) All India Quota Seats:
MCC conducts counselling for All India Quota Seats. In India all the government dental Colleges have 15% seats reserved under All India Quota except Jammu & Kashmir. This means under this 15% quota all the candidates irrespective of the states can take admission. Suppose in King George Medical College, Lucknow there are 70 Government seats in BDS, so 15% of the seats i.e. 09 seats are reserve under All India Quota. In these 09 seats candidates across India can take admissions (except Jammu and Kashmir). The counselling for these 09 seats are conducted by MCC and for the remaining 61 seats counselling is conducted by the State Counselling authority and this is called 85% state quota. In India there are 41 Government Dental Colleges having 419 Government BDS seats under All India Quota.
Central Universities (BHU/AMU/Maulana Azad DC, Delhi/Jamia Milia, Delhi)
In India there 04 Central Universities for BDS. MCC conducts the First, Second, Mop up – 1 and mop up – 2 round counselling. We will discuss about these one by one, let us have a discussion about BHU first.
BHU
In BHU there are 50 seats under All India Quota. There is no state quota. Under this First and Second round counselling is for AIQ quota seat allotment. Seat allotment for Mop up 1 and Mop up – 2 is under BON i.e. BHU Open Quota. For Mop – 1 and mop up 02 all India candidates are eligible under this.
AMU
There are three types of quotas in AMU. This Dental college is Dr. Z.A.D.C., FAC. Of Medicine, Aligarh.
Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi
There are 50 BDS seats for which the counselling is conducted by MCC and the quota is provided below:
Deemed University BDS, College wise, category wise seat matrix, tuition fees and hotel fees:
The cut off for Deemed colleges is generally low but the fee of these colleges is very high. Counselling for the First Round, Second Round, Mop up – I and Mop up – II is conducted by MCC for the 3100 seats.
AYUSH
If the candidates would not be able to get a seat in MBBS/BDS course then you can opt for a career in AYUSH. This course is similar to that of MBBS/BDS. Time to time there is government vacancy and you can establish a clinic of your own. After Corona Pandemic people started inclined towards Ayurveda. After completing this course not only you can write Dr. in front of your name but also do PG and Research Programme and get succeeded into that. For AYUSH course there are both Government & Private Medical college which gives admission on the basis of NEET score, just like for that of MBBS/BDS it also have two counselling authorities. Under All India Quota (15%) AACCC conducts counselling and State Counselling Authority conduct admissions for State Quota (85%). In 2019 All India Quota (15%) counselling had started before 2019 state counselling authorities conducted counselling. Here we will get the information about the All India Quota (15%). So below mentioned are the types counselling authorities which provide admission.
AACCC (AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee) for 15% All India Quota:
This committee comes under Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH). It is a central counselling committee which gives admissions for UG and PG courses. This process is completely online from Registration till seat allotment. Students from across India from all the states who qualified NEET 2020 are eligible for admission. Under AYUSH institutions AACCC conducts admission for BAMS, BHMS, BSMS and BUMS courses. Under this Government, Government Aided, Central University/National Institutions, Private and Deemed University all these types of institutions are a part of it.
State Counselling Authority (State DME):
All the states frame a counselling committee which conducts counselling for 85% seats in Government Medical College and all seats for Private Medical College. This counselling is conducted for the courses i.e. BAMS, BHMS, BNYS and BUMS. All these admissions are given on the basis of NEET score. Candidates of a particular state can apply to Private or Government AYUSH Colleges and take admission. Although there are several states which allow candidates from outside states also and are called Open State. Candidates having low marks can also get admission. Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Kerala are popular open states. In this content I am going to explain AACCC 15% All India Quota and tell you about Counselling Process, Seat Matrix, Tuition Fees and Cut off.
How to take admission in 15% All India Quotas?
20 days after the announcement of NEET 2020 results AACCC start registration and choice filling process. The official website for the process is https://aaccc.gov.in/aacccug/home/homepage . In All India Quota the first and second round counselling is conducted by AACCC, if the seats remained after the second round then it is transfer to the state to which the college belongs to.
AACCC conducts First round, second round and mop up round counselling for Central University/National Institutes and Deemed University. After the mop up round if there are vacant seats then it is filled by a Stray vacancy round and is by the institute itself.
What is AYUSH?
The abbreviation of AYUSH is Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy. All these are different courses and mentioned below:
Note: 1) For Siddha – BSMS (Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery) colleges only Tamil Nadu and Kerala are the states which are available.
2) For Yoga and Naturopathy – BNYS (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences) no college participate in All India Quota.

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)
BAMS is the most popular course in AYUSH. After MBBS/BDS this course is the most popular. AACCC conducts counselling under BAMS course and institutes are:
1) All India quota government – 59 Ayurvedic college
2) All India quota government aided – 20 Ayurvedic college
3) All India quota Private – 185 Ayurvedic college
4) Central university/National Institute – 03 Ayurvedic college
5) Deemed University – 07 Ayurvedic college
There are 274 Ayurvedic Colleges for which AACCC conducts counselling. In these different quotas are provided below:
AQG – All India Quota Government: This quota is there in Government Ayurvedic college. The fee of these colleges is very low. In 2019 there are 169 seats were increased under EWS Quota in BAMS Government college.
AQA – All India Quota Govt. aided: This quota is for Government aided colleges. The fee of this college is very low. In 2019 there were 144 seats increased in favour of EWS in BAMS government aided college.
AQP – All India Quota Private: This quota is provided in the Private Ayurvedic College. The fee of these colleges is very high.
CUN – Central Universities/National institutions: This quota is for the Government Ayurvedic Colleges. The fee of these colleges is very low.
Management Quota (Deemed University): This quota is meant for Deemed Universities. The fee of these colleges is very high.
BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery)
After BAMS the next preference is BHMS. The counselling body is AACCC for Homeopathic colleges.
1) All india quota government – 32 Homeopathic college
2) All India quota government aided – 07 Homeopathic college
3) All India quota Private – 143 Homeopathic college
4) Central university/National Institute – 03 Homeopathic college
5) Deemed University – 06 Homeopathic college
There are total 190 Homeopathic colleges for which the counselling is conducted for the admissions. The Quota under this course is given below:
AQG – All India Quota Government: This quota is for Government Homeopathic Colleges. The Fees of these colleges is very low.
AQA – All India Quota Govt. Aided: This quota is for Private Homeopathic Medical Colleges. In Private Homeopathic Colleges there are few seats which are available in the fees of Government colleges. The Fee of these colleges is low.
AQP – All India Quota Private: This Quota is for Private Homeopathic Medical College. The fee of these colleges is very high.
CUN- Central Universities/national Institutions: This quota is for Government Homeopathic Medical College.
Management Quota (Deemed University): This is Deemed University Quota. The fee of these colleges is very high.
BSMS (Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery)
Siddha – BSMS (Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery) course is available in the state of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. AACCC conducts counselling for BSMS in two following ways:
So, there are 10 Siddha Medical Colleges are there for which the counselling is conducted. The quota under this is:
AQG – All India Quota Government: This quota is for the Government Siddha Medical Colleges. The fee of these colleges is low.
AQP – All India Quota Private: This quota is for the Private Siddha Medical Colleges. The fee of these colleges is high.
UNANI – BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery)
After BAMS, BHMS and BSMS this (BUMS) course is in demand. The counselling is conducted by AACCC. There are different quotas as mentioned below:
1) All india quota government – 09 Unani Medical college
2) All India quota government aided – 04 Unani Medical college
3) All India quota Private – 17 Unani Medical college
4) Deemed University – 01 Unani Medical college

Veterinary
In India if you would not be able to get an admission in MBBS/BDS course then you can make your career in Veterinary. This course is similar to that of MBBS/BDS. From time to time there are government vacancy are available or else you can establish a clinic of your own. Not only you can Dr. in the front of your name but also you can do PG and Research Programme for the success. After doing this course you would be an animal doctor. This course is known as BVSc & AH (Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry). In India there are Private as well Government colleges which provide veterinary course and the counselling is done on the NEET score, but there are some states which conducts separate exam for the admission. Just like MBBS/BDS there are two types of counselling namely All India Quota (15%) by VCI and 85% state Quota where the state authority conducts the counselling. So now let me explain the whole veterinary course and the admission process. There are two counselling authorities for admissions namely:
VCI (Veterinary Council of India) for 15% All India Quota:
This committee is a centralised counselling authority which comes under Ministry of Fisheries, animal husbandry and dairying, Government of India. The whole process is online i.e. from registration till the seat allotment each step is carried online. Candidates from across India are eligible for this quota irrespective of the state which they belongs to. The candidates who have NEET score are eligible for the seat. There are Government and Private Institutions.
State Counselling Authority (State DME):
All the states frame a counselling committee for the admissions in their states for 85% seats in the Government colleges and 100% seats in the Private colleges after conducting the exams. The candidate of a state can apply to the Government and Private college of their state and take admission in Veterinary college.

Note: Students who have secured minimum cut off marks mentioned by the authority are eligible to participate in AIQ (All India Quota) counselling for NEET – UG and state level quota under NEET UG Counselling.
