What Happens at Each Stage – Explained Simply
Registration Phase
This is where you create your profile and complete the registration form on dme.mponline.gov.in. The registration window is typically open for about 10–14 days. Pay the Rs.1,000 registration fee before the deadline, your registration is not confirmed until payment is done.
If you want to edit your registration details after payment, you can do so using the “Edit Registration Form” option but only before the registration end date closes.
Merit List Publication
After registration closes, DME MP processes all registrations and publishes the State Merit List on the portal. This is category-wise and shows your rank among all registered candidates. Your allotment depends on this rank, not just your raw NEET score.
Check your rank carefully. If there is a discrepancy in your category or details, there is usually a short objection window before counselling begins.
Choice Filling and Locking Phase
Once the merit list is out, the choice filling window opens. This is where you select and rank the colleges you want. The window is typically open for 4–7 days.
Remember: Choice filling and choice locking are two separate steps. Simply selecting colleges is not enough, you must lock your choices by paying the Rs.100 choice locking fee. Only locked choices are considered for allotment.

Allotment Round
