Region Eligibility
Region is one of the most important and often misunderstood eligibility conditions in JAC Delhi counselling.
| Region | Seat Share | Criterion |
|---|---|---|
| Delhi Region | 85% of seats | Must have passed qualifying exam from a school/college/institute within NCT of Delhi |
| Outside Delhi Region | 15% of seats | Must have passed qualifying exam from a school/college/institute outside NCT of Delhi |
Special Case – Patrachar Vidyalaya / NIOS Candidates: If you passed through Patrachar Vidyalaya Delhi or NIOS, your region is determined by the location of your examination centre not your home address. If your exam centre was in NCT of Delhi, you are a Delhi Region candidate. If outside, you are an Outside Delhi Region candidate.
Age Criterion
There is no minimum or maximum age criterion for any programme at any of the four participating institutions such as DTU, NSUT, IGDTUW, or IIIT-Delhi under JAC Delhi 2026.
IGDTUW – Female Candidates Only
IGDTUW is open exclusively to female candidates. Male candidates cannot apply for any programme at IGDTUW through JAC Delhi 2026. All other eligibility conditions (marks, JEE rank, region) apply equally to female candidates as outlined above.
Basis of Admission – JEE Main Paper

| B.Tech at IIIT-Delhi | Paper-I (percentile score used) |
Candidates eligible for both B.Tech and B.Arch must make their preference clear during choice filling. Seat allotment will be based purely on the order of choices filled, there is no separate system for dual-eligible candidates.
Tie-Breaker Criteria
If two candidates have identical JEE Main CRL ranks after NTA’s tie-breaking, JAC Delhi 2026 will use following additional criteria in order:
- Date of Birth – the elder candidate (born earlier) gets preference
- Random draw – if the tie still persists
