Ayurveda Biology को लेकर सबसे ज्यादा confusion इसी section में होता है। Students आधी जानकारी के आधार पर assumption बना लेते हैं और बाद में regret करते हैं।
Myth: “यह MBBS का alternative है”

JNU B.Sc. Ayurveda Biology क्या है
यह एक undergraduate programme है जिसमें Ayurveda के traditional concepts को modern biology के साथ integrate करके पढ़ाया जाता है। इसका focus clinical treatment नहीं, बल्कि understanding, research और theoretical depth पर होता है। इस course में students को human physiology, plant-based medicine systems, traditional healing concepts और modern scientific approach का combination सिखाया जाता है। यानी यह purely doctor बनाने का course नहीं, बल्कि knowledge-building programme है। यह उन students के लिए ज्यादा useful है जो research, teaching या higher studies जैसे M.Sc., PhD या interdisciplinary fields में जाना चाहते हैं। अगर आपका interest biology के deeper concepts समझने में है और आप traditional medicine systems को scientific तरीके से explore करना चाहते हैं, तो यह course meaningful हो सकता है। लेकिन अगर आपका primary goal patient treat करना या doctor बनना है, तो यह रास्ता सही नहीं है। यानी साफ शब्दों में कहें तो यह course “medical knowledge” देता है, लेकिन “medical practice” का license नहीं देता।

मेरे अनुभव में, यह course उन students के लिए अच्छा है जो genuinely research या academics में जाना चाहते हैं। लेकिन जो student doctor बनने का सपना लेकर आता है, उसके लिए यह frustration का कारण बन सकता है। कई cases में students admission लेने के बाद realize करते हैं कि यह उनके goal से match नहीं करता। तब या तो वे course छोड़ते हैं या compromise करते हैं। इसलिए सबसे जरूरी बात है self clarity। अगर आपका goal clear है, तो decision आसान हो जाता है। अगर goal unclear है, तो कोई भी course सही नहीं लगेगा। यही reason है कि counselling को underestimate नहीं करना चाहिए। सही decision लेने से पहले system और course दोनों को समझना जरूरी है।
