What These Dates Mean for You
Registration Window (B.Tech): May 6 to June 19, 2026
You have until June 19, 2026 at 11:59 PM to complete registration steps on https://techadmissionshry.gov.in and pay your registration fee. If you miss this window, you cannot participate in the 1st online counselling. Fresh registrations for the 2nd counselling are only open from June 30 to July 6, 2026.
Haryana candidates must ensure their PPP ID is verified before they start registration. The PPP portal is at https://meraparivar.haryana.gov.in. Any unverified PPP data puts you in the General category by default.
Choice Filling Window – 1st Counselling: June 10 to June 18, 2026
The choice filling window opens while registration is still open. This means you can register, pay the fee, and fill choices within the same window. Fill your preferred college and branch combinations in order of preference and lock your choices before June 18, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
Seat Allotment Result – 1st Counselling: June 19, 2026 at 4:00 PM
To know whether or not you were awarded a seat you must log onto https://techadmissionshry.gov.in after 4 PM on the 19th of June and if you have been assigned a seat then download the Provisional Seat Allotment Letter immediately.
Physical Reporting – 1st Counselling: June 22 to June 25, 2026
You must report to the allotted institution between June 22nd & 25th, 2026 (the exclusions are as follows; Sundays and National Holidays are excluded) and present all original documents with 3 (three) sets of attested photocopies along with the relevant fee for the semester at the institution to receive the Provisional Admission Slip by the institution.
If you do not physically report to the institution by 5 PM on June 25th, 2026 your seat will be automatically cancelled.
2nd Counselling Registration: June 30 to July 6, 2026
Candidates who missed the 1st counselling can register fresh during this window. Candidates who got a seat in the 1st counselling and want to upgrade must also refill their choices during this period. Seat allotment for the 2nd counselling is on July 7, 2026 at 4:00 PM and reporting is July 8 to July 10, 2026.
Last Date for Fee Refund: July 31, 2026
If you want a refund of your semester fee from the institute, you must apply before July 31, 2026. After this date, no full refund is provided as per AICTE guidelines.
Final Cut-off Date: August 14, 2026
After August 14, 2026, there will be no admissions allowed by any college under HSTES 2026 for either centralized counseling or at the college level, and all colleges must input all of their admission data into the HSTES portal by August 25, 2026.
Important Points About the HSTES 2026 Schedule
The schedule is tentative and may change. HSTES has clearly stated in the brochure that dates can be revised at any stage. Do not plan your entire admission strategy on these dates alone. Check www.hstes.org.in every day during the counselling season.
All times are strictly enforced. The registration portal closes at 11:59 PM on the last day and the choice locking window closes at 11:59 PM. There is no grace period.
Gazetted holidays and national holidays are excluded from physical reporting periods.
