Haryana B.Tech Counselling Registration 2026

Registration for HSTES Counselling 2026 is done entirely online at https://techadmissionshry.gov.in. There is no printed application form available or acceptable.

PPP ID – Mandatory for Haryana Candidates

Haryana resident candidates must have their Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) ID ready before registration. The PPP ID is necessary for all Haryana candidates. When you enter your PPP ID during registration, details like your name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, category, annual family income, and sub-category are automatically fetched from the PPP database. These fetched details are non-editable in the application form.

If your PPP data has any error, get it corrected on the PPP portal at https://meraparivar.haryana.gov.in before you start registration. Any unverified PPP data will result in your candidature being considered under the General category only.

Candidates from outside Haryana must use their Aadhaar number for registration. If their Aadhaar is already linked to a Haryana PPP database, they cannot register as an out-of-state candidate.

7-Step Haryana B.Tech Counselling Registration Process

The registration at https://techadmissionshry.gov.in involves 7 steps:

Step 1 – Sign Up and Login: Create an account and sign in by entering your roll number for either JEE main 2026 (for B.Tech) or NATA 2026 (for B.Arch). Then, create a password and write down your Unique Application Number so you will have it to refer back to in future communications with HSTES.

Step 2 – Fill Category and Sub-category Details: Once signed in, select your category & subcategory i.e. (ESM, FF, PH, KM etc) as well as entering additional information about yourself such as your PPP ID if from Haryana (and/or) your Aadhaar Card number if from out-of-state.

Step 3 – Upload Photograph and Signature: Upload a color photograph (JPG or JPEG format and max 30 KB) and signature (JPG or JPEG format and max 20 KB).

Step 4 – Fill Qualifying Examination Details: Enter details regarding your Class 12th Board Name, Aggregate Percentage, Percentage In Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and your JEE Main 2026 Rank for B.Tech, or your NATA 2026 Score Card for B.Arch.

Step 5 – Confirm Registration Details: Carefully review all your completed details prior to confirming your registration, including your name, date of birth, category, PPP ID or Aadhaar, and qualifying exam score. You cannot change any information associated with your PPP ID after registration confirmation.

Step 6 – Upload Documents: Upload scanned PDF copies of all required documents (maximum 100 KB each). The specific documents differ by category:

  • All Candidates: Qualifying exam DMC, proof of Date of Birth
  • KM Category: Migration certificate duly signed by competent authority or Relief Commissioner

Haryana B.Tech HSTES Counselling Eligibility Criteria 2026

For B.E. / B.Tech Courses

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship as subjects.

Additionally, candidates who have passed a 3-year Diploma with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) are also eligible for admission in the first year, subject to vacancies.

Entrance Exam Requirement: Valid JEE Main 2026 Paper-I rank is mandatory. Admissions are based on the All India Rank of JEE Main 2026 conducted by NTA.

For B.Arch Course

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of Chemistry, Biology, Technical Vocational Subject, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies with at least 45% aggregate.

Alternatively, candidates who passed a 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 45% marks are also eligible.

A valid score in NATA 2026 (Phase-I) conducted by the Council of Architecture or any other aptitude test recognized by COA is mandatory. The merit list is prepared on the basis of 50% weightage to NATA score (percentile) and 50% weightage to qualifying exam marks.

Note: Students who passed Diploma Architecture through Lateral Entry and have not studied Mathematics as a subject are not eligible for B.Arch admission.

For Kashmiri Migrants (KM)

KM candidates get a relaxation of up to 10% in the cut-off percentage subject to the minimum eligibility requirement. A valid migration certificate duly signed by the competent authority or Relief Commissioner is mandatory.

Tie-Breaking Criteria for B.Tech

If two candidates have identical JEE Main 2026 Common Rank List (CRL) ranks even after NTA’s own tie-breaking:

Haryana B.Tech HSTES Counselling Choice Filling 2026

After you register and pay your fee, you can fill out your choices on the website www.techadmissionshry.gov.in. Here’s what will happen:

Only applicants who have paid the registration fee will be allowed to fill out their choices. Once you log in with your username and password, you will see a list of available choices (institute/branch combinations) based on your eligibility and category. Choices for which you do not qualify will not appear.

How to Fill Choices: Click on “Fill/Modify Choice” and add choices by clicking the “+” button. Arrange them in order of preference from highest to lowest. You can add, remove, and reorder choices anytime during the choice filling window.

Locking Choices: After finalizing, lock your choices. Locking is advisable but not mandatory. If a candidate does not lock their choices, the last saved set of choices will be considered as final for seat allotment. Once the choice filling window closes, no changes can be made.

For 2nd Counselling: Candidates who want to upgrade their seat must participate in the 2nd counselling by refilling choices. By doing so, you accept that your earlier admitted/allotted seat will be cancelled automatically if you get a new allotment. If you are satisfied with your first counselling seat, do not participate in the 2nd counselling.

The registration fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.

Semester / Annual Academic Fee

The academic fee varies by institution type. For self-financing institutions, it is fixed by the Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (AFRC), Haryana. The fee structure for each institute is available at Appendix-F in the brochure and on the website https://afrchry.techeduhry.gov.in.

Candidates must check the fee structure of their preferred colleges before filling choices during counselling. There may be pending fee revision requests from some institutes at AFRC, which could result in changes to the displayed fee.

Hostel and Mess Charges (as per AFRC Guidelines):

  • Ordinary Room: Maximum Rs. 2,000/- per month per student
  • AC Room: Maximum Rs. 2,500/- per month per student
  • Mess charges are as per actual expenses on breakfast, lunch, evening tea, and dinner

Admission Data Management Fee: Rs. 200/- per admission is charged one time by HSTES for all admissions (centralized and institute level) in self-financing institutions. This is collected from admitted students by the institute and deposited into HSTES account.

Haryana B.Tech HSTES Counselling 2026 – Special Categories

Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW)

Under the AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver scheme, up to 5% of approved intake per course is available as supernumerary seats for students whose parents’ annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 8 lakh. These seats are verified through PPP ID income data. TFW counselling runs parallel to general counselling based on JEE Main 2026 rank. TFW is not available for B.Arch.

Haryana Govt. School Topper (HGST)

Within the approved number of seats, there is one available per branch for each Institute for the topper of the Science Stream of each Government Senior Secondary School in Haryana for the year 2026. The Government Senior Secondary School must have 5 or more students enrolled in Science stream classes. To qualify for HGST, the candidate must achieve at least a 2nd Division (50%) on their qualifying exam. A candidate’s HGST certificate is to be issued by their Government School’s Principal according to Annexure-X. HGST does not exist for B.Arch.

Economically Weaker Section (EWS)

EWS seats are 10% of sanctioned intake per course and are supernumerary. Candidates must produce an EWS Income and Asset Certificate issued by the Tehsildar of the area where they reside. The family income must not exceed Rs. 8 lakh per annum and must be verified against PPP ID data. EWS counselling runs parallel to general counselling.

HARIHAR Category

The HARIHAR (Homeless, Abandoned and Surrendered Children Rehabilitation Initiative Haryana) policy provides admission benefits to children who have completed 18 years from Child Care Institutions, were abandoned before age 5 or surrendered before age 1. Such candidates having EWS status are considered under Open/EWS category seats in government institutions and get free education.

Haryana B.Tech HSTES Counselling 2026 – Seat Allotment and Reporting

The seat allotment results will be displayed on the specified date at www.techadmishry.com after NIC will process the choices after the deadline for choice filling.

If you have been assigned a seat, you will need to login to the counselling website to download your provisional seat allotment letter and physically report to the allotted college within the time frame set forth in the letter.

Once you arrive at the college, you will be required to pay your semester fee and provide documentation for your registration and collect provisional admission slip.

Critical Points:

  • If you do not report to the college and/or complete the requirements within the specified timeframe, your seat will be automatically forfeited.
  • The original certificates should not be retained by the institute. Only attested copies are submitted for registration purposes.
