Firstly, Govt Polytechnic for Women Faridabad is one of the premier Technical Institution in the country with an international repute.
In fact, Govt Polytechnic for Women Faridabad is situated at a distance of 30 Kms. from ISBT Delhi.
However, Govt Polytechnic for Women Faridabad, Haryana was originally located at Sector-8 of Huda Market Faridabad.
Further, this newly established pioneering Institute came up and was set up completely under World Bank Project with an approximated expenditure of Rs. 12.0 Crore.
Moreover, its building is raised across the well spread green area over 11 acres of land and houses the beautiful Institution campus, the hostel, and the residential colony.

In fact, the total building is modern in its design and construction.
Further, it provides well renovated fully AC computer centers, well-ventilated and illuminated classrooms, laboratories and workshops.
In addition, Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Faridabad was established in 1995 and the guest classes were running at Govt. Polytechnic for women Sirsa.
However, it came into existence at the beautiful location with its ideal environment for education in Sector –8 of HUDA in Faridabad in August 1999.
That is when the 1st batch of its incumbents was admitted into 3 disciplines of Engineering through the centralized State admission.
So, the 3 disciplines are Computer Engineering, Electronics, and Architecture Assistantship.

In fact, the Institute has been conducting three years Diploma Programs in the conventional fields such as:

• Firstly, Civil Engg.
• Secondly, Electrical Engg.
• Further, Mechanical Engg. till 1975.   

But to keep pace with Emerging Technology and market demand latest courses have been added. 
Presently, the Institution is running 9 diploma programmers in double shifts to cater to more aspirants.
However, an institution is the only Diploma level teaching Institute of State with all the programmers accredited by NBA.
Further, the Institute comes first on a choice of both the admission seeker and employers.
