Uttar Pradesh NEET UG Counselling for MBBS/BDS admission is conducted in multiple rounds for merit-based seat allotment in government and private medical/dental colleges. Each round has specific rules and timelines. Below is a detailed explanation of each counselling round:

First Round Counselling:

  • Students who were allotted seats in the first round needs to download the allotment letter and join the allotted college by paying the admission fee and providing documents within the time limit.
  • If a student fails to take admission, he/she will lose eligibility for subsequent rounds of counselling unless she/he avails herself/himself of the “Free Exit” facility.
  • Those candidates who wish to upgrade their seat can attend the second round.

Second Round Counselling:

  • Shortlisted candidates having seats in the second round need to finish the admission procedure in the respective institute.

  • Candidate information like Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, etc., uploaded while registering for NEET on the NBE portal will be filled automatically in the counselling registration form to ensure data consistency.

  • Seat Upgradation: If upgraded, candidates must relieve themselves from Round-2 and join the Round-3 seat. Once joined, they cannot upgrade or resign from the seat.

  • Exclusion: Candidates allotted a seat in Round-3 and did not report cannot participate in the Stray Vacancy Round.
  • Allotment Process: The Stray Vacancy Round will be conducted by the MCC for Deemed Universities. Seats will be allotted online via a software system.
  • Joining the Allotted Seat: Candidates allotted a seat in the Stray Round must report to the college/institute. Failure to do so will result in debarment from future NEET PG examinations and forfeiture of the security deposit.
