Step 1: Registration

Step 4: Seat Allotment:

The seat allotment process for Karnataka NEET Counselling 2025 will be conducted in three phases:

• Phase 1: This phase will focus on allotting seats to candidates belonging to special categories such as Persons with Disabilities (PWD), NCC, and Sports quota. It will be followed by the allotment of seats to General Merit candidates.
• Phase 2: This phase will be exclusive to reserved category candidates.

• Submission of Documents: All relevant documents such as NEET PG rank, educational qualifications, and caste certificates (if applicable) must be uploaded during the application.

2. Publication of Seat Matrix and Merit List

• Seat Matrix: KEA will release the seat matrix for the available PG Medical and Dental courses in Government and Private colleges, which includes the number of seats available in each category and college.
• Merit List: A merit list will be published based on the NEET PG rank of candidates, and candidates will be called for counselling based on this list.

3. Option Entry

• Choice Filling: In this stage, candidates can enter their choices for preferred colleges and courses. The seat allocation process will be based on these choices.

• If the candidate fails to serve the Government, a hefty penalty (Rs. 50,00,000 for PG Medical Degree) is imposed.

9. Post-Admission Process

• Completion of Bond Agreement: Candidates must complete their bond and ensure compliance with the terms regarding the service obligation, or face penalties.

• Certificate from the Head of Institute – Certifying that the Medical/Dental College from which the candidate has passed the MBBS/BDS examination is recognized by MCI/DCI.
• State / Central Medical / Dental Council Registration Certificate – Provisional registration certificate will be accepted only for candidates who passed MBBS/BDS in 2025. Permanent State/Central Medical/Dental Council Registration Certificate must be submitted at the time of the admission process. (Candidates who passed before 2025 must submit the Original Permanent Registration Certificate).
• Eligibility Certificate (Other University) – For candidates who have completed their MBBS/BDS from a university other than those in Karnataka.

NRI & Management Quota Admission

A.J. Institute Of Dental Sciences, Mangalore offer 15% seat under NRI quota for UG & PG courses. The eligibility for admission under the NRI Quota seats will be NRI candidates himself / herself of children of NRI whose parents are resident of Karnataka.

Priority to be given to the domicile of Karnataka. If seats remain vacant, then the same may be filled with eligible candidates of other States domicile. All the admission shall be based on merit only and reservation policy for admission shall be as per Govt. of Karnataka.

Candidates admitted under Self-Financed seats shall not be eligible for Govt. of Karnataka Stipend as well as Internship Allowance. Under NRI / NRI Sponsored category seats admitted students will not be eligible for Govt. of Karnataka Stipend and Internship Allowance. Self Financed and NRI/NRI Sponsored seats will be non-resident types. However, the hostel facility may be provided to students admitted under Self Financed / NRI seats as per suitability and availability.

NRI Candidates who wants to claim benefit for NRI quota should select “NRI” at the time of online registration and should submit the documents with the required affidavit enclosed at the time of document verification, otherwise they will not be eligible for NRI quota. Documents claiming that the sponsorer is an NRI (Passport, Visa of the sponsorer).
