Any NEET UG 2026 qualified candidate who wishes to participate in:
- State Quota seats in Government Medical / Dental Colleges of West Bengal
- Management Quota seats in Private Medical / Dental Colleges of West Bengal
- NRI Quota seats in Private Medical Colleges of West Bengal
must complete WB NEET Counselling 2026 Registration. West Bengal domicile is required for State Quota participation. Non-domicile candidates can still participate for Management Quota and NRI Quota seats.
Step-by-Step WB NEET Counselling 2026 Registration Process
Step 1 – Access the Official Portal
Visit the official WBMCC counselling website: https://wbmcc.nic.in
On the homepage, click on ‘UG Medical & Dental’ from the main menu. This takes you to the UG Medical and Dental Counselling section. Next, click on ‘Candidate Registration and Login’. For first-time users, click on ‘New Candidate Registration’ to begin.
Step 2 – Agreement Page
An agreement page appears on screen. Read all the terms and conditions listed carefully before proceeding. Once you have read and understood everything, click ‘I Agree’ to continue with the registration process.
Step 3 – Enter Personal Details
This is the most important step. You must provide the following details exactly as they appear on your NEET UG 2026 admit card:
- NEET UG Roll Number
- Application Number
- Candidate’s Full Name
- Mother’s Name
- Date of Birth
- Security PIN (as shown on the form)
Click ‘Submit’ after entering all details. The system will validate your information against the NEET UG data provided by NTA. Any mismatch in data will not allow the candidate to register. Ensure that you do not use nicknames or abbreviations, use your name exactly as it appears on the NEET admit card.
Step 4 – Create Your Password
After successful data validation, you will be prompted to create a password for your account. The password must comply with the password policy displayed on your screen. Enter and confirm the password in the relevant boxes, then click ‘Submit & Next’.
Important: Your password must be kept strictly confidential. Do not share it with anyone, not even family members or agents. If any misuse occurs due to sharing of your password, neither NIC nor WBMCC will be held responsible. This password will be used at every subsequent step, including choice filling and choice locking.
Step 5 – OTP Verification
After creating your password, the system generates an OTP (One Time Password) which is sent to the mobile number and email ID that you had registered with NTA during your NEET UG application. Enter either or both OTPs received via SMS and email. Also enter the security code shown on screen. Click ‘Verify & Final Submit’ to complete OTP verification.
Step 6 – Complete the Application Form
After successful NEET data validation, go to the link for ‘Application Form’ . Your NEET UG 2026 data will be autofilled. Now you have to complete the additional required fields:
a) Religion and Caste Category: Select your religion. For caste category, you will have the option to select OBC-A or OBC-B if applicable. Note that the SC/ST/EWS/PwD declaration afresh is not permitted during the registration stage, you can only select Open category or OBC-A/OBC-B. An alert message will appear after selecting OBC, read it carefully and Save & Continue.
b) Bank Account Details: Upload your cancelled cheque/passbook/online banking statement with your account details. This will be used for any security deposit refund.
c) Dynamic Questions for Candidature: Based on your candidature, some dynamic questions will be displayed. You will be asked to select your preferred physical document verification centre based on your eligibility. Choose your option based on your location. Candidates need to answer these questions to determine eligibility for various quotas. The questions pertain to caste category and NRI status.
- Proforma a1: if continuously residing in West Bengal for 10 years and both X and XII studies are from West Bengal
- Proforma a2: if residing in West Bengal for last 10 years but XII passes in the current year and that also from West Bengal
- Proforma b: if both the parents have been permanent residents of West Bengal (last 10 years) but the applicant had studied outside West Bengal.
d) Class 10+2 Academic Details: Enter details like passing board name and year, marks and subjects obtained for Class 10+2. Click on ‘Save & Next’.
e) Address and Contact: Fill in your address and contact details and click on save & next.
Step 7 – Preview and Final Submit
Review all information entered in the application form carefully. If all details are correct, click ‘Save & Final Submit’. To make any corrections, click ‘Previous’ and go back to the relevant section.
Important: At this stage, you can still unlock and edit your registration details using the ‘Registration Unlocking’ link but only until your fee payment is completed. Once payment is done, registration unlocking is permanently disabled.
Step 8 — Pay the Counselling Fee
After final submission, proceed to pay the non-refundable counselling fee online:

Step 9 – Download Candidate Profile Letter
After successful payment, a Candidate Profile Letter is generated in your account. This is one of the most important documents in the entire process. It contains:
- Your reporting centre details
- Date and time slot for Physical Document Verification
Click ‘Download Candidate Profile’ and take a hard copy. You must carry this letter mandatorily to the Physical Document Verification venue. Without this letter, verification will not be conducted.
How to Login After Registration
Once registered, use the ‘Registered Candidate Sign-In’ panel on the portal:
- Enter your NEET UG Roll Number
- Enter your password (created during registration)
- Enter the security PIN displayed on screen
- OTP authentication will be required
