REAP Counselling Registration 2026: Step-by-Step Process, Fee & Key Rules

REAP Counselling Registration is the first and foremost requirement for any candidate who wish to get admission in Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process 2026. Whether you are applying for B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch, or B.Plan, you must register online through the REAP 2026 portal before any seat allotment can happen.

Getting registration right matters more than most candidates realize. Errors in category, wrong documents, or skipping the locking step can directly affect your allotment or get you disqualified. This article covers the complete registration process from start to finish.

Step-by-Step REAP 2026 Registration Process

Step 1: Pay the Registration Fee

The registration process starts with fee payment. The fee for REAP 2026 is Rs. 885 (Rs. 750 + 18% GST). This must be paid online before the application form becomes active. Payment can be made through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.

This fee is completely non-refundable and non-transferable. If you register under one counselling mode, you cannot transfer the fee to another mode. If you want to participate in multiple modes, you pay separately for each.

If the fee payment goes through but the application form submission fails due to a technical error, you can claim a refund through the bank’s chargeback process.

Step 2: Fill the Online Application cum Registration Form

Once the fee is paid, the application form becomes active. Fill in all required details:

  • Personal information: name, date of birth, gender, contact details
  • Category and sub-category (General, SC, ST, OBC-NCL, MBC-NCL, EWS, PwD, EXS, KM)
  • Qualifying exam details: board, year of passing, marks in each subject
  • JEE Main 2026 application number and score (if applicable)
  • NATA/JEE Main Paper 2A score (for B.Arch applicants)

The data you enter here must be consistent with what you submitted in your JEE Main 2026 application form. REAP is not responsible for consequences arising from inconsistencies.

Step 3: Upload Documents

After filling in the form, upload the following:

DocumentFormatSize Limit
PhotographJPGUp to 100 KB
SignatureJPGUp to 50 KB
Marksheets (Diploma/12th/others)PDFAs applicable
Category certificatesPDFUp to 150 KB each

All uploaded photographs and signatures must be clear and legible. Category certificates must be in the prescribed format.

Step 4: Fill and Lock College Choices

After the form is submitted, candidates fill in their college and course preferences. You can add as many choices as are available. The order of preference matters because allotment is done based on merit and preference order.

You can edit the choices before pressing the Submit/Lock button. Once locked, no modifications are possible through the candidate panel. However, you can unlock choices by paying Rs. 50 + 18% GST per unlock request through the REAP portal, up to the last date permitted.

If you fill choices but forget to lock them, the system auto-locks your last saved choices at the deadline. If no choices were saved at all, you will not be considered for any allotment.

Step 5: Submit and Take Printout

After final submission, you get a confirmation on your registered email and mobile number. Take a printout of the completed application form and choice form. The hardcopy does not need to be sent to the REAP office, but keep it for physical reporting at the institute.

Duplicate or multiple registrations are not allowed under any circumstances.

Common Mistakes During REAP Registration

  • Wrong category selection: Selecting the wrong category means your reservation benefit is either lost or applied incorrectly. Check all category definitions carefully before selecting.
  • Old category certificates: The OBC certificates of more than 1 year old from date of registration will not be accepted. EWS certificates accepted will be FY 2026-27, 2025-26, and 2024-25. Ensure you upload certificates with proper dates.
  • Poor quality of photograph/signature: An unclear photograph with which the authenticity of the applicant at the time of verification of document cannot be confirmed is usually rejected by the Institute. A clear, fresh photograph is recommended.
  • Failure to lock choices: Many candidates select choices but forget to click on the Submit/Lock button by the time. Lock your choices before time.
