How the MMMUT Counseling 2026 Schedule Works

MMMUT counseling runs in multiple rounds. Each round has its own set of activities, each with a fixed deadline. Missing any activity in a round means your allotted seat is cancelled and you are out of all further rounds except spot counseling.

Here is a plain understanding of how the schedule flows:

Registration and Fee Payment are the first steps. Both must be completed before the window closes. After paying the Rs. 2,500 counseling fee, the document upload window opens.

Document upload and choice filling happen after fee payment. These two must be done within the stipulated time. If you miss the document upload deadline, your candidature is not considered in any round of regular seat allotment.

Choice locking is the critical step that many candidates overlook. Choices that are filled but not locked by the deadline are auto-locked by the system. But the order in which they are locked matters because the same choices are used for all rounds. There is no option to change or modify after locking.

Seat allotment results for each round are published on the portal. You must log in and check. No individual notification is sent.

After each round, if a seat is allotted, you must choose FREEZE or FLOAT, complete online document verification, and pay the seat confirmation fee, all within the deadline for that round. Failing any one of these steps leads to seat cancellation.

Physical reporting at the university happens after the final round. Candidates with provisional admission report to campus, submit originals for physical verification, and pay the remaining university fee.

MMMUT Counseling 2026 Activity-Wise Deadlines: What You Need to Know

Some important things to keep in mind with respect to deadlines that candidates tend to overlook:

The counseling fee is non-refundable. Once you have registered and paid the fee and then have failed to fill your choices and/or failed to upload documents, there won’t be a refund.

OBC and EWS certificates must be dated on or after April 1, 2026. Certificates older than this date are not valid and will cause document verification failure.

Once choices are locked, no modifications are allowed under any circumstances. All rounds of allotment use the same locked choices.

After Round 2 or the last regular round, a spot counseling may be held for remaining seats. New registrations are allowed for spot counseling.

The physical verification at the time of reporting is the final gate. If your documents fail verification at this stage, your admission is cancelled and fees are forfeited.
