All India Quota (AIQ)
- MCC conducts All India counselling for the AIQ seats.
- Unfilled AIQ seats that MCC returns to the state become part of the State Quota.
- A candidate admitted through MCC up to Round 3 cannot join the state counselling afterwards.
State Quota (Government Medical Colleges)
- 50% of PG seats in the six government medical colleges are filled through this counselling.
- The seats are divided between two groups. In-service GDOs get 66.67% and direct candidates get 33.33%.

- No seat is allotted to in-service GDOs in Community Medicine at MMMC, Solan.
- DNB seats are allotted only to regular GDOs of Himachal Pradesh, not to contract GDOs.

- All Indian nationals who meet the general eligibility conditions can apply.
- Seats are filled strictly on NEET PG 2026 merit through the common counselling. No direct admission is allowed at the institute.

NRI Quota
- NRI Quota applies only in the private medical college.
- A separate merit list is prepared for NRI candidates based on NEET PG 2026 rank or score.
- NRI seats left vacant after admitting eligible NRI candidates are converted to Management Quota (Unreserved) in Round 3.
