Seat Allotment Process for Andaman & Nicobar

Bond of Service and Penalty for Seat Lapse
Candidates admitted to ANIIMS must be aware of the following binding conditions:
- Bond of Service: Students admitted to ANIIMS must serve the Andaman & Nicobar Administration for at least one year after obtaining the MBBS degree. This requires a signed undertaking (Appendix G) and a bond on a non-judicial stamp paper of ₹100/-. Failure to serve this one-year period attracts a penalty of ₹10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only).
- Restriction on Leaving India: Students must also undertake not to leave India for a period of five years from the date of obtaining the degree, failing which a penalty of ₹10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) applies (Appendix H).
- Penalty for Lapse of Seat: Any candidate responsible for the lapse of an MBBS seat including not joining after taking admission, cancelling a seat after the last round of admission, abandoning a seat after the cut-off date, or failing to complete the course — is liable to pay a penalty of ₹10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only). If admission is cancelled on medical grounds after the cut-off date, the Competent Authority may waive the penalty after review by a special medical board.
- Ragging Policy: ANIIMS states it is a completely ragging-free campus. Any student found indulging in ragging, in the past or during the course, is liable for an FIR, suspension or rustication, a fine up to ₹10,000/-, and other punitive action including withholding of results or scholarships.
