Upgradation, Free Exit and Resignation rules

- A candidate admitted through Round 2 can upgrade in Round 3 but cannot resign the Round 2 seat; resignation after Round 2 admission results in forfeiture of the security deposit.
- A candidate who joins a Round 3 allotted seat cannot upgrade or resign further. If a candidate is allotted a Round 3 seat and does not join, this is treated as exit with forfeiture and elimination, meaning the candidate cannot participate in any further round of counselling.
- The Security Deposit is also forfeited if a candidate is allotted a seat in the second round or any subsequent round and does not join the respective institution, or if admission gets cancelled for reasons such as furnishing wrong information at registration.
There is no waiting list of candidates at the time of counselling. If any seats remain vacant after a round, or new seats become available, they are placed in the seat matrix of the subsequent round through a fresh notification. There are no AIQ seats reverted to State Quota under this counselling.
