Common Mistakes to Avoid During Registration
Getting registration right the first time saves a lot of trouble later. Here are the most frequent mistakes candidates make:
- Wrong name or date of birth: Your name and date of birth in the application must exactly match the SSC (Class 10) certificate. Any mismatch can lead to cancellation.
- Wrong candidature type: Selecting the wrong candidature type (e.g., Type A instead of Type B) can affect which seats you are eligible for. Read the definitions carefully before selecting.
- Incorrect category or sub-category: If you enter the wrong category, you cannot change it from General to Reserved at a later stage. Reserved to General changes are allowed only if you fail to submit valid certificates.
- Expired certificates: OBC, NT, VJ, SBC, SEBC, and EWS certificates must be valid. Non-creamy layer certificate must be valid up to 31st March 2026. EWS certificate must be valid for 2025-26.
- Incorrect marks entry: Any upward change in marks due to correction is not permitted after submission. Enter marks accurately.
- Not confirming the form: Filling the form without final confirmation means it is not submitted. Always click the final submit or confirm button.
- Choosing a wrong Facilitation Centre: Choose a centre you can physically visit during the document verification window.
