Digital India Internship Program का मूल उद्देश्य क्या है
Digital India Internship Program का मूल उद्देश्य employment देना नहीं है—यह बात शुरुआत में ही साफ समझनी जरूरी है। इस program का focus exposure पर है, न कि job या outcome guarantee पर। इसका मकसद students को digital governance, policy implementation, e-Governance systems और public sector के working environment से परिचित कराना है।
अक्सर interns को observation-based roles दिए जाते हैं। कहीं documentation, data handling या reporting से जुड़ा काम मिलता है। यह initiative academic learning को ground-level understanding से जोड़ने की कोशिश करता है।
लेकिन Digital India Internship Program को skill-training program या career accelerator मान लेना गलत है। यह internship learning oriented है, earning oriented नहीं। और यही फर्क न समझ पाने की वजह से expectations और reality के बीच gap बनता चला जाता है।
“Government Internship” सुनते ही जो गलत assumptions बनती हैं
जैसे ही government शब्द जुड़ता है, expectations अपने आप बढ़ जाती हैं। Students सोचते हैं कि government internship मतलब future preference। Parents मान लेते हैं कि इससे job security का रास्ता खुलेगा। लेकिन सच्चाई यह है कि government internship और government job दो बिल्कुल अलग चीजें हैं। Internship का मतलब temporary exposure होता है,
permanent association नहीं। Certificate participation या completion का proof होता है, selection या recommendation का नहीं। कई जगह यह भी मान लिया जाता है कि recruiters government internship को extra weightage देंगे। इस assumption का कोई official आधार नहीं है। यही assumptions बाद में disappointment में बदल जाती हैं।
यहीं सबसे बड़ी गलती होती है
सबसे बड़ी गलती तब होती है जब student यह पूछे बिना apply कर देता है कि यह internship उसके long-term career plan से align करती भी है या नहीं। सिर्फ इसलिए apply कर लेना कि यह Digital India initiative के तहत है, एक weak reason है। कई students core skill building, placement preparation या mandatory academic internship को छोड़कर इसमें समय लगा देते हैं। उस समय decision सही लगता है, लेकिन बाद में realize होता है कि time invest हुआ, direction clear नहीं हुई। यही opportunity cost है जिसे अक्सर नजरअंदाज कर दिया जाता है।
Safe cases और Risky cases में फर्क समझना जरूरी है
कुछ profiles के लिए यह internship safe हो सकती है। जैसे policy studies, governance, public administration या exploratory phase में मौजूद students, जो exposure को learning मानते हैं, outcome नहीं। लेकिन risky cases वे हैं जहाँ student final year में है, placement focused है

गलत internship decision का नुकसान immediate नहीं दिखता। एक semester या एक phase निकल जाता है। लेकिन जब placements, higher studies या skill assessment का समय आता है, तब realize होता है कि core preparation कमजोर रह गई। Resume में experience जुड़ा होता है, लेकिन relevance missing होती है। Confidence भी प्रभावित होता है। यही सबसे बड़ा hidden loss है।
