  • You will be removed from the counselling process

There are no grace periods or extensions. Once the fee payment window closes without having paid your fees, the system will automatically treat it as though you have rejected the offered seat.

FREEZE vs FLOAT and Fee Implications

After paying the Rs. 1,35,000 fee, you must make a decision to either FREEZE or FLOAT your current allocated seat, and this will determine how your fee will be applied in future rounds:

  • FREEZE: You lock-in (confirm) your current seat allocation, and the fee also locks in to that seat. If you subsequently decide on Internal sliding and receive an upgrade to a branch with a higher priority than your current branch, you keep the same fee associated with your original seat allocation and transfer to the new branch for admission.
  • FLOAT: You accept the current seat but want to try for a better option in the next round. The fee is held against your current allotment. If you get a better seat in the next round, the same fee applies to the new allotment. If no better seat is found, you retain the current one.
  • WITHDRAW: You exit the counselling process. Refund is processed as per the refund policy (see below).

The FLOAT option is not available in Round 3 (Phase 1 last round) or Round 5 (Phase 2 last round). In those rounds, you can only FREEZE or WITHDRAW.
