GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC JHANSI.
Government Polytechnic, Jhansi was established in 1958.
Initially, this institute started its academic session in three disciplines Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
In the year 1971, the institute started a diploma course in Automobile Engineering, in the year 1972, a diploma course in Electronics Engineering.
And later in the year, 1993 diploma in Computer Application was also added to the curriculum.

Polytechnic is having very large & spacious with 24000 different discipline books & journals and new books are added every year.
Newspaper & magazine provides to students. The library is open 8 AM to 8 PM Daily excluding holidays.
Since then, it has grown in size and content along with the Indian Institute of Technology to take the present shape.

The librarians assist students to pick authors and subjects that best suit their interest, in the process inculcating the habit of avid reading.
SC/ST students are entitled to issue additional books from a library with the help of the social welfare department.
It also has reading room facilities and provides newspapers and magazines of international repute.
