Delhi NEET Counselling 2026 Seat Allotment Process

Delhi NEET Counselling 2026 Seat Allotment is purely governed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The University of Delhi does not conduct its own allotment process.

Both quotas (85% Delhi Quota & 15% All India Quota) are allotted by MCC. Once MCC allots you a seat in a Delhi University-affiliated college, only then does the University of Delhi’s Faculty of Medical Sciences (FMSC) step in for the admission formalities.

How Is the Seat Allotted to You?

Seat allocation through the Delhi NEET Counselling 2026 Seat Allocation process is completely based on merit. This is how the process will take place:

Your NEET UG 2026 rank is considered when it comes to your choices filled in the choice filling process. The system allocates the best available seat from your preference list based on your rank and category. This means:

  • If your rank is good enough for your first preference college, you get that seat
  • If not, the system moves to your second preference, then third, and so on
  • If none of your preferences are available for your rank and category, you do not get a seat in that round

This is why choice filling matters enormously. The more thoughtfully you fill your preferences, the better your chances of getting a seat that works for you.

Step-by-Step Seat Allotment Process

Register on MCC Portal

Visit mcc.nic.in and complete your counselling registration. Pay the MCC registration fee as applicable. This step is mandatory before you can participate in any round of allotment.

Fill and Lock Your Choices

Once registration is done, the choice filling window opens. Add all the colleges you want to be considered for, in your preferred order. You can add, remove, and rearrange until the window closes.

Always lock your choices manually before the deadline. If you forget to lock, the system will auto-lock your last saved preferences. But relying on auto-lock is risky, always lock yourself.

Seat Allocation Result

Once the choice filling process gets over, MCC evaluates the data entered by the students and publishes their seat allocation result at mcc.nic.in. Login and verify the seat allotment result.

Confirm Your Alloted Seat

In case you get your desired seat, confirm your seat by paying the seat acceptance fee on the MCC portal during the specified time period. Failure to pay the fee within this period means losing the seat.

Document Verification from College

Go to the college for document verification. Take all relevant documents in their original form along with two sets of photocopied and attested copies to verify your documents.

Register on FMSC Portal

Once your documents have been verified by the college, register yourself on the FMSC portal of the University of Delhi through https://fmsc.du.ac.in. Upload all documents and make the payment for FMSC Registration Fee online.

Execute Surety Bond

When you get provisional admission, execute Surety Bond worth Rs. 3 lakhs with two sureties. Your admission will be treated as invalid until this Surety Bond is executed. You can find the proforma of Surety Bond at https://fmsc.du.ac.in.

College fee is paid directly at the allotted college, not on the FMSC portal. Check with the respective college for the fee structure and payment mode.

  • MCC allotment letter (printed copy)
  • FMSC registration form (printed copy)
