Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science & Technology, Murthal came into being on 6^th November 2006.

That is by upgrading erstwhile Chhotu Ram State College of Engineering. So, Murthal through an Act 29 of 2006 of the Legislature of the state of Haryana with the vision to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education.

Also, having the focus on new frontiers of science, engineering, technology, architecture and management studies, humanities, and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields.

Furthermore, Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology has been considered eligible for grants under Section 12(B) of UGC Act, 1956 in March 2009.

So, Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology has got affiliating status. Further, the technical and professional College/Institutes located in the District Sonepat have been affiliated with the University.

Six B.Tech programmes of the University have also been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

Moreover, Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology has a Central Instrumentation Laboratory. It is available to scholars belong to different depths or outside Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology as a central research facility.

Location

Moreover, Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology is located in NCR on National Highway No. 1 (G. T. Road) about 50 km from ISBT.

Because in New Delhi towards Chandigarh and 8 km from Sonepat railway station.

While the location of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology falls within one of the growing industrial belts of Haryana extending from Kundli to Panipat.

 Campus

So, Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology is a residential university with a campus sprawling over 273 acres of land. Because  Architecturally the campus has been developed in four distinct zones – academic, residences, hostels and recreational.

Furthermore, the academic premises of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology comprises five blocks including one administrative block.

So, one iconic building i.e. Library cum Computer Centre is also completed and is operational and a convention center is under construction.

Eligibility Criteria:

Fee Structure for UG & PG Admission

1. Firstly, full tuition fee concession to the 10% of class strength.
2. Tuition fee concession to the younger child whose brother/ sister study in the same University will be get as under:-
3. i) Elder to pay the full fee
4. ii) The younger to pay half fee
5. 50% concession in total fee to the employees of DCRUST and DTE, Chandigarh, Audit Staff posted in the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology and their wards admitted for the course.
6. Full tuition fee concession to the children of the serving/ retired military personnel up to the rank of NCO or military personnel killed or incapacitated wholly or partly during the war (Haryana Resident).
7. Full tuition fee concession to Blind/ Physically Handicapped and wards of Freedom Fighters (Haryana Resident).
8. 1/3^rd concession of the total fee to the students belonging to the weaker section of the society (Haryana Resident).
