Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2025 will be conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) and counselling is expected to start from 3rd week of September 2025. Bihar AYUSH Counselling is conducted for admission in BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS & BNYS courses in Bihar and admission is solely based on NEET Exam rank.
The curriculum for these AYUSH courses aligns with the standards set by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), ensuring a complete education in traditional medical systems.
This year NEET Exam will be held on 4th May 2025 by National Testing Agency (NTA) and result will be declared on 14th June 2025. Candidates who appeared in NEET exam will be eligible to participate in Bihar AYUSH Counselling.
As per National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) there are 7 BAMS Colleges with 493 seats, 15 BHMS Colleges with 825 seats, 05 BUMS Colleges with 226 seats in Bihar.

Bihar Counselling Choice Filling 2025
Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2025 choice filling procedure is the key process for applicants to join BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS courses. The counselling procedure is done by the BCECE Board on NEET-UG scores. Students need to undertake registration and choice filling online procedure only once which will be done for Round-1 and Round-2 allotments of seats. But new registration and choice filling is required in case of Round-3 as well as in Stray Vacancy Round.
Bihar AYUSH Counselling Choice Locking 2025
Filling up the choices is the last step for submission, candidates are required to lock their choices. In the event that a candidate fails to lock the choices it will be considered as the candidate does not wish to take part in the process of attending the counselling.
It is advised that the options selected are reviewed from every aspects and are very carefully prepared and selected so that there is no need for changes later. The system will show the Agree/Disagree button, the candidates selected will have to click Agree in order to confirm locking. If choices are not locked, the candidate will not be considered for seat allotment and will not be allotted any college.
Bihar AYUSH Counselling Seat Allotment 2025
Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2025 seat allotment process is managed by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB). Candidates are required to complete the registration and choice-filling process only once, which will be applicable for both Round-1 and Round-2. Seat allotment in these rounds is based on the choices filled and the NEET UG 2025 rank.
However, for Round-3 and the Stray Vacancy Round, a fresh registration and choice filling is mandatory. Candidates already admitted in any college in India through Round-3 or those allotted a seat in Round-3 are not eligible to participate in the Stray Vacancy Round.
After Round-1, candidates can opt for seat upgradation in Round-2 by selecting “Yes” for upgradation before downloading the provisional seat allotment order. Similarly, candidates can participate in Round-3 by giving willingness for upgradation or by resigning from their allotted seat within the given time if no upgradation has occurred in Round-2.
Seat allocation is temporary and final admission depends on document verification at the reporting center. If during verification any discrepancy is detected (like incorrect category claim), the seat allotment will be cancelled, and a candidate will become eligible for the next round with fresh details.
If a candidate demands BC category but does not furnish proper evidence, the seat booked under BC will be cancelled and the candidate will be treated as Unreserved category in Round-2.
Bihar AYUSH Counselling Stray Vacancy Round 2025
Stray Vacancy Round of Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2025 is the final round of the admission process conducted by the BCECE Board. It is held online and is meant to fill the remaining vacant seats after Round-1, Round-2, and Round-3. A fresh registration and choice filling is mandatory for candidates wishing to participate in this round.
Candidates who have been allotted a seat through Round-3 anywhere in India, or he/she are admitted through Round-3, are not eligible to apply for the Stray Vacancy Round.
As this is the final chance for admission, the candidates must fill in their preferences cautiously and confirm that all the eligibility conditions are fulfilled. Seat allotment will be done on the basis of NEET UG 2025 rank and candidate’s filled-in choices during fresh registration for this round.

Candidates belonging to the Creamy Layer of OBC are not entitled to reservation benefits and are considered under the general (GEN) category, making them eligible only for open seats. The GEN-EWS reservation benefit is available only to those general category candidates who meet the criteria specified by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
Bihar AYUSH Counselling For Other State Students
Students from other states can participate in Bihar AYUSH Counselling 2025 under the All India Quota (AIQ). This quota allows non-resident candidates to apply for admission into government AYUSH colleges in Bihar, including courses like BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS.
