Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research (AIACTR) was established in 2001 by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
In fact, Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies is developing as a Centre of Excellence imparting technical education in the field of engineering.
Further, Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies is affiliated to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
To cater to the needs of technical education due to the growth of manpower, Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies was started in 2001 with 30 intakes each in ECE and CSE branch.
One batch of Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies has already passed during 2005.

Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies obtained 8 acres (32,000 m2) plot at Geeta colony a campus in 2005.
The Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies started operating from it in 2008.
The foundation stone of Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies was laid by Honorable Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit on 24 May 2006.

Eligibility Criteria in Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies:
B.Tech:
Firstly, pass in 12th class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately.
Secondly, the candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.

Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies took possession of a sprawling area of 8.5 acres (34,000 m2) in Geeta colony for a state-of-the-art campus with ultra-modern facilities and lush green ambiance in 2005.
However, Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies started operating from the campus in 2008.
The foundation stone of the new campus of Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies was laid by Honorable Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit on 24 May 2006.

Computer Science & Engineering (CSE)
In fact, the duration of the B.Tech programme is four years. The student intake is 60+.
However, the syllabus includes all the latest technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning etc.
Moreover, several times college students represent this institute in various Hackathons such as “SMART INDIA HACKATHON”(an initiative of Govt. of India), State Hackathon’s (Rajasthan, Delhi).

Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
In fact, the syllabus features courses like Statistical Theory of Communication, DSP Architectures, and Systems, Communication Switching Systems, Computer Networks, Communication Electronic Circuits, Microwave Components and Circuits, Satellite Communication, Photonic Devices, and Systems, giving a balanced coverage of the theory and practice of modern Communication Engineering.
However, the duration of this course is four years, and the intake of students is 120.
