AKTU Spot Round 2026 also called Special Round under UPTAC 2026 is the last phase of B.Tech counseling to fill up seats which are still vacant after the 4th Round of regular counseling and physical reporting. Data on vacant seats in Special Round 1 have been published after the internal sliding allotment completed on July 18, 2026. UPTAC 2026 features two Special Rounds – Special Round 1 & Special Round 2, both held on https://uptac.samarth.edu.in.

Vacant seats arise from: candidates not reporting to their allotted college within the 14–16 July deadline, candidates who formally withdrew during Rounds 2, 3, or 4, and seats that remained unfilled in certain categories across regular rounds. The total vacant seat data is published on the UPTAC portal on the dates above.

Who Can Register for Special Rounds:

Candidates who are eligible for Special Rounds include those who registered in Round 1 (25 May – 15 June 2026) but were not allotted a seat or formally withdrew from counselling. Additionally, OSGE candidates, those who studied outside UP and whose parents (both father and mother) are not UP domicile are exclusively eligible for Special Rounds and cannot participate in regular rounds at all. Candidates who were allotted a seat in earlier rounds and did not withdraw are not allowed to register.

Exam Priority in Special Rounds:

JEE Main 2026, 2) CUET UG 2026, 3) Intermediate (10+2) marks. This expanded priority order means candidates with only CUET UG scores or Intermediate marks can access B.Tech seats in Special Rounds if JEE Main qualified candidates have not filled them.

Important: Special Round seat confirmation fee is ₹20,000 with absolutely no refund for any reason. Non-reporting after Special Round allotment also results in seat cancellation with no refund.
