Step 2 – Download Allotment Letter: Download and print from the dashboard. The allotment letter is mandatory at physical reporting.

Step 3 – Evaluate Your Allotment: Check if the allotted college and branch match your expectations. Consider NIRF rankings, placement data, fee structure, and location before deciding on Freeze or Float.

Step 4 – Pay Seat Confirmation Fee: Pay Rs.20,000 (or Rs12,000 as applicable for government colleges) within 27–29 June 2026. This payment is mandatory even if you choose Float, it confirms your participation continues.

Step 5 – Select Freeze or Float: Choose within 27–29 June 2026. Freeze confirms the seat permanently, you stop participating in further rounds. Float retains the current seat while making you eligible for a potential upgrade in Round 2. Float is risk-free, you cannot end up with a worse seat.

Step 6 – If Float – Participate in Round 2: Round 2 choice filling is 30 June–1 July 2026. Update your preference list if needed, put better choices that you want above your current allotment. Round 3 from 6 to 7 July) is the absolute last chance to edit choices.

Step 7 – Physical Reporting: All freeze candidates (whether frozen after Round 1, 2, 3, or auto-frozen in Round 4) must report to the allotted college during 14–16 July 2026 with all original documents.

If Not Allotted in Round 1: Expand your choice list in Round 2 from 30 June to 1 July. Add more private college options, less-competitive branches like Civil or Electrical Engineering, and colleges in tier-2 cities. A broader list significantly improves allotment probability in Round 2.
