UPTAC Counselling 2026 registration is expected to begin in May 2026, with the window likely remaining open through July 2026. Once registration closes, choice filling for college and branch preferences follows shortly after. The official dates will be confirmed by Dr. A.P.J. All registrations are completed entirely online. There is no offline process or document submission to AKTU at this stage. Candidates must complete their registration on the official UPTAC Admissions Portal before the window closes.

Keep your JEE Main or CUET roll number and scorecard, Class 10 and 12 academic certificates, and category or domicile certificates (if applicable) ready along with scanned copies of your colour photograph and signature. The registration fee is Rs.1,000, non-refundable, and payable online via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.

Who Can Register for UPTAC Counselling 2026?

Before checking the registration date, confirm that you meet the basic eligibility:

  • You must have passed your qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) from an institution in UP, OR your parents must be domicile of UP
  • Candidates from outside UP with non-UP domicile parents can only register for the Special Round
  • Your qualifying exam result must be declared before the registration deadline
  • There is no age limit for any of the courses covered under UPTAC 2026

UPTAC 2026 Registration – Step-by-Step Process

As soon as the registration is starts, do the following:

  • Visit the website at https://uptac.admissions.nic.in/
  • Select the option for “New Registration” for UPTAC 2026
  • Enter your details as well as qualifying exam details, category, and domicile details
  • Upload a colour scanned photograph and signature as required
  • If required, upload the category/domicile certificate
  • Pay the registration fee of ₹1,000 online through Credit/Debit card or Net banking
  • Submit the application and keep your Application Form Number
  • Take a printout of the confirmation page
