UPTAC Counselling Procedure includes admission procedures for first-year and lateral entry for second year for B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, BCA, BBA, B.Des, BHMCT, BFAD, BFA, Pharm D, M.Tech (Integrated), MBA (Integrated) and MCA (Integrated).

Important Points to Keep in Mind

  • Registration for UPTAC 2026 is online. There is no provision for offline registration or document submission to AKTU at this stage.
  • Candidates must ensure their qualifying exam results are declared before the registration deadline. Those with pending results will not be eligible.
  • OBC certificate must be issued on or after 01.04.2026 with the creamy layer clause. EWS certificate must be valid for the academic year 2026-27.
  • Rural area weightage of 3% on entrance exam marks is available only for UPGE category candidates in UG courses who studied in a Gram Panchayat-area institution — not applicable for lateral entry or UPGD/UPGDEWS candidates.
  • Once a seat is allotted and accepted, no change in college or branch is permitted under any circumstances.
  • The fee paid after seat allotment is non-refundable except in cases of formal withdrawal within the schedule notified by AKTU.
