Why the Registration Last Date Is Non-Negotiable

There is no provision of any grace period or a late registration date allowed by AKTU. If an applicant fails to register and the portal is closed on the final date no student even with good JEE Main rank or good CUET score will be able to appear in any round of UPTAC 2026 counselling. As mentioned in the Information Brochure it is entirely the candidate’s responsibility to register in time and requests or representations regarding failure to register in time are entertained under no circumstances.

Who Needs to Register Before the Last Date

All candidates eligible for admission under UPTAC 2026 need to fill up individual registration form prior to the cut off dates. All candidates are eligible are:

  • First year B.Tech candidates who qualified JEE Main 2026
  • B.Tech Lateral Entry candidates (Diploma holders and B.Sc. graduates)
  • B.Arch candidates with valid NATA 2026 or JEE Main 2026 scores
  • MBA, MCA, B.Pharm, BCA, BBA, and other course candidates with valid CUET scores

Appearing in JEE Main or CUET does not automatically register you for UPTAC. Registration on the official portal is a separate, mandatory step.

  • JEE Main 2026 scorecard and roll number
  • Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and passing certificates
  • Domicile certificate of self or parents (if studied outside UP)
  • Category certificates – OBC (issued on or after 01.04.2026 with creamy layer clause), SC/ST, EWS (valid for 2026-27)
  • Scanned colour photograph (recent, clear)
  • Scanned signature
  • Active mobile number and email ID for OTP and communication

Tips to Avoid Last-Minute Problems

The UPTAC portal will be loaded in high volume in the last few days of the last date of registration. To avoid technical crash or submit failure, do the following steps;

  • Apply for Registration before 4-5 days of last date.
  • All scanned documents will be ready at hand when filling up form don’t start filling up form without those.
  • Don’t fill form in evening and night where load is very high.
  • After filling form do carefully recheck all filled entries; you may not able to do any edit after final submit.
  • Application Form Number will be generate after successfully submission and that should be keep noted.
