JAC Chandigarh Counselling Fees is something every candidate should understand clearly before they begin the registration process. Unlike some counselling processes where there is just one fee, there are multiple fees for different stages of the counselling process, with refund conditions and deadlines for each fee.
A mistake in the fee structure could result in the loss of your seat, your qualification for subsequent rounds, and the amount of your refund.

This fee is non-refundable under all circumstances. It is charged for running the counselling process and is not returned even if you do not participate in choice filling, do not get a seat, or withdraw at any stage.
Payment is made online – Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, UPI. Fresh candidates registering for the Special Round also pay the same counselling fee at that stage.
Seat Acceptance Fee
Once you receive your seat allocation via one of three regular rounds or the Special Round, you are required to pay Rs. 40,000 electronically to confirm your acceptance of the seat you were allocated.
- Payable using Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, or UPI
- The payment period defined in the counselling schedule will typically be two to three days after the allotment results
- Payment confirms your provisional admission
- After paying, you must also submit your willingness: Yes for Upgradation (try for better seat next round) or Freeze for No Upgradation (keep current seat)
If you do not pay within the window: Your allotted seat is cancelled. You lose eligibility for Round 2 and Round 3 but can still participate in the Special and Spot Rounds.
If you pay and then withdraw before the Spot Round: Full Rs. 40,000 is refunded as per the refund policy.
Advance Fee for Spot Round
For the Spot Round, candidates who have not yet paid Rs. 40,000 must pay it as an advance before they can fill choices.
- If a seat is allotted in the Spot Round: Rs. 40,000 is not refunded
- If no seat is allotted in the Spot Round: Rs. 40,000 is fully refunded
Candidates who already paid Rs. 40,000 in earlier rounds do not need to pay again for the Spot Round.
