Uttar Pradesh NEET UG Counselling for MBBS/BDS admission is conducted in multiple rounds for merit-based seat allotment in government and private medical/dental colleges. Each round has specific rules and timelines. Below is a detailed explanation of each counselling round:

First Round Counselling:

  • Students who were allotted seats in the first round needs to download the allotment letter and join the allotted college by paying the admission fee and providing documents within the time limit.
  • If a student fails to take admission, he/she will lose eligibility for subsequent rounds of counselling unless she/he avails herself/himself of the “Free Exit” facility.
  • Those candidates who wish to upgrade their seat can attend the second round.

Second Round Counselling:

  • Shortlisted candidates having seats in the second round need to finish the admission procedure in the respective institute.
  • No “Free Exit” is allowed in the second round.
  • If a candidate does not take admission after being allotted a seat in the second round, they will be disqualified from further rounds and may have to pay a penalty.

Mop-up Round Counselling:

  • Vacant seats after the second round will be filled by the mop-up round.
