The Department of Training and Technical Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, in its endeavor to provide technical manpower, suited to varied needs of industry, imparts technical education and technological skills through various courses of study of different levels. Full-time Diploma Courses in Engineering / Technology, Occupational and ITI/Secretarial / Management based disciplines are offered at different AICTE approved Government Polytechnics, Privately Managed Polytechnics and Government Aided Institutions affiliated to the Board of Technical Education, Delhi. 

The Department of Training & Technical Education plans to admit students to first semester/ first year for the academic session 2017-18 for various Full-time Diploma programmes (Engineering and non-Engineering) being offered at Institutes affiliated to the Board of Technical Education (BTE), Delhi, through the Common Entrance Test (CET- 2017). Controller of CET 2017, on behalf of Delhi Knowledge Development Foundation, under Department of Training & Technical Education shall conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET-2017) and shall announce the centers where the tests shall be held.

ET (Common Entrance Test) is also termed as Delhi Polytechnic. It is a state level examination scheduled by Department of Training & Technical Education, Delhi. CET provide opportunities to thousands of eligible applicants to get admissions in various technical & non-technical programs in numerous govt. & private institutes of Delhi.

The interested applicants can apply for Delhi CET 2017 online from the official website of CET. The application procedure will be started from March 2017 and will ends up in April 2017. If any applicant wish to apply for more than one examination then he/she have to submit separate application form. They have to enter all the details and then will move to next step which is payment of application fee. To complete the application procedure the applicants will have to pay the application fee either through debit card/ new banking or through e-bank challan.

CET Delhi 2017 Application Form

·         Candidates can apply for this exam only via online process through the official website of authority.

·         Delhi CET 2017 Application Form has been released from 20th March, 2017. The application fee is Rs. 400/- + Rs. 18/- additional charges.

·         Candidates note down, the application will be not refunded under any circumstances.

·         Delhi CET Application Form Correction 2017 facility shall be provided through online mode.

·         The fee payment can be done through credit/debit card/E-wallet/net banking or through the challan in any branch of corporation bank in India. There is no need to send the printed application form to the authority.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should check the eligibility criteria before applying.

Nationality:

·         Only Indian Nationals/sponsored candidates can apply.

·         Aadhaar Card is mandatory to apply for Delhi CET 2017.

Qualification Criteria:

·         Candidates must have passed 10th or equivalent exam with Science, Mathematics & English Subjects.

·         Students should have scored minimum 35% marks in Science, Mathematics & English subjects.

·         Candidates must have passed in Science, Mathematics & English separately without grace marks.

·         Candidates who are waiting for their result of qualifying examination in 2017 are also eligible to apply.

·         For Pharmacy course, candidates must have passed 12th from any recognized board with securing minimum 45% marks for general category and 40% marks for SC/ST category in physics, chemistry, Biology/Mathematics group.

Examination Pattern

§  The question paper of CET 2017 will be available in Hindi & English both languages.

§  The applicants will be given 4 marks for each correct answer and there will be a penalty of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.

§  There will be total 150 questions in each test. In Pharmacy, total number of questions will be 210 and the applicants have to attempt only 150 questions by taking 60 questions either from Mathematics or Biology.

§  The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.

§  The total marks of the CET Delhi 2016 examination will be 600.

 

Application fee for Delhi Polytechnic 2017:-

·         All the interested applicants have to pay Rs.400/- as application fee and have to pay additional charges.

·         They can pay their application fee through Credit/Debit card or Net banking or the challan in any branch of Corporation Bank in India.

·         Candidates must remember that fee will not be regressed.
